Hey Tumblr! Sorry I’ve basically dropped off the radar for… a really long time. I’m really not sure if you should expect this blog to continue much longer. If I do continue to use Tumblr, it might stop being a music blog sometime in the very near future. I gave it a run, and then realized I have no good way to keep paying for the music I review and no time to actually review it (a BS in physics actually takes up a lot of time, who knew?). That being said, before I go I have a back stock of recent albums that I’ve been meaning to write reviews for. These include but are more than likely not limited to:
“Telos”, off of BTBAM’s upcoming The Parallax II: Future Sequence.
Seriously guys. I just pooped myself in excitement.
Because I am legit curious: What is a musician or band that, had you not discovered them, you don’t know what kind of person you would be right now? Does not necessarily have to be your favorite. Just a band that, for whatever reason, was a catalyst for… Yep, for me it was definitely Dream Theater. My uncle came over one night when I was about 12 or 13 and played Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence for my brother and I. If it hadn’t been for that, I probably never would have heard the rest of their catalog or seen them 6 times, I never would have gotten into any of the music I listen to, and if I did still pursue several musical instruments, my style and technique would be incredibly different. So thanks DT, for making my life what it is today!
